    Day 1

    08:30    Departure from Mashaquipe office in Rurrenabaque – 3 hour boat trip with spectacular view of Beni and Tuichi rivers to enter Madidi National Park – view of impressive
    landscape of Bala Canyon – visit to Villa Alcira, originarian comunity to learn about their way of life and experience sugarcane pressing

    11:30    Arrival at “Mashaquipe” Ecolodge– welcome drink of natural local fruit juice – accommodation in lodges

    12:30    Lunch – local foods and traditional dishes – short rest

    14:30    Walk along “Dry Creek” Trail – view of a variety of plants to learn about their many uses for medicines, crafts and construction materials – view of some species of monkeys, peccaries, birds and many insects (all subject to season availability)

    19:30    Dinner – rest for the night

    Day 2

    07:30    Breakfast – with typical local beverages, fruits and pastries

    08:30    Preparation of camping equipment for two-night campout in the jungle – All camping equipment will be provided at lodge.

    09:00    Aproximate 5 hour walk to “Patujusal” refuge

    Lunch on arrival at refuge – cooked on wood-fire

    15:00    Circuit Trek on “Spider Monkey” Trail – view of Spider and Capuccino monkey aswell as many native birds and plants

    19:30    Dinner at refuge

    20:30    Night walk with great possibilities of sighting nocturnal animals like armadillos, snakes, tapir, monkeys and birds. Great chance to hear the roar of the jaguar.

    22:00    Rest for the night

    Day 3

    07:00    Breakfast at refuge

    08:00    Departure on Trail to “Arenalito” Refuge – View of pecaries, macaws and other native birds

    11:00    Arrival at “Arenalito” refuge

    12:30    Lunch at refuge – cooked on wood-fire

    14:30    Walk to “Caquiahuara macaw Cliff” – view of parabas in natural nesting habitat from a high lookout, aswell as large native tres and plants

    19:30    Dinner at refuge

    20:30    Optional Night walk

    Day 4

    05:00    Early rise to appreciate impressive sunrise and the sound of howler monkeys and birds greeting the new day

    07:30    Breakfast

    08:30    Walk to Tuichi River to experience building a log raft “Callapo”: rustic transportation of the indigenous people of the Amazon, and travel downriver on raft back to “Mashaquipe” Lodge.

    Camping equipment will be transported on motorboat which will be available for tourists that may not wish to travel on log-raft

    12:30    Lunch al “Mashaquipe” Lodge – local foods and traditional dishes – short rest

    15:00    Optional activities: sport-fishing, local handycraft making, walk on short trails

    19:30    Dinner at lodge – rest for the night

    Day 5

    06:30    Breakfast – with typical local beverages, fruits and pastries

    07:00    1 ½ hour boat trip return to Rurrenabaque

    09:00    Car trip to Santa Rosa – great probability of seeing sloths, anteaters, birds, and other local animals

    11:30    15-minute boat trip to “Las Tortugas” Ecolodge – accomodation in lodges

    12:30    Lunch at lodge – local foods and traditional dishes – short rest

    14:30    Boat trip along Yacuma river for sport-fishing, with great chance of catching piranhas and other native river fish – view of caimán, capybara, turtles and many bird species.

    19:30    Dinner at lodge – rest for the night

    Day 6

    05:30    Early rise to appreciate impressive sunrise and listen to howler monkeys and birds herald the awakening of the pampas

    07:30    Breakfast – with typical local beverages, fruits and pastries

    08:30    Boat trip along Yacuma river – great chance for swimming with pink river dolphin (season availability) – view of caiman, capybaras, turtles and local bird species

    12:30    Lunch at lodge – local foods and traditional dishes

    13:30    Return to Rurrenabaque – 3 hour car drive
